October 2008 Tioga Pass : October 10, 2008 We woke up to strong winds and below freezing temperatures, but clear skies. We headed up Tioga Pass and on to our destination, the vally in Yosemite National Park. Tioga pass was pretty, but very cold and windy, we had crossed it on our way to the Sierra's just a few days before when it was still and warm.....we should have stopped to take our photos then.

October 2008 Wawona and Mariposa Grove : On Monday 10-13-08 the road to Glacier Point reopened. We visited the Mariposa Grove (gotta love government employees trying to figure out how to deal with a full parking lot-one car out one car in would seem like it would make sense. They used the 30 cars out, no cars in and geeee the parking lot is only 60% full system) After visiting the giant Sequoia trees, we went to Wawona to see the Hotel and Pioneer Center and then on to the Glacier point road.
